Subversion is a psychological action thriller set in an alternate reality where the Iraq War never truly ended. As the conflict dragged on until 2023, the United States uncovered something far more dangerous than a foreign enemy: millions of sleeper cells embedded throughout the country, hidden among ordinary Americans and waiting to be activated.

In the aftermath, a catastrophic CIA operation wipes out all records of the sleeper cells’ identities, creating a national security crisis with no clear enemy, no reliable database, and no way to know who can be trusted. From that chaos, a powerful underground organization emerges from the shadows, using fear, deception, psychological conditioning, and government instability to manipulate the country from within. What begins as a war overseas becomes a hidden war inside America itself.

At the center of the story is Marcus Alvarez (Terry), a traumatized agent struggling to separate truth from manipulation after being psychologically conditioned by forces beyond his understanding. As memory, fear, and instinct begin to blur, Marcus is pulled deeper into a world where nothing can be trusted, including his own mind.

Marcus is forced to seek out his former CIA handler, Jack Thornton (G. Segale), while being tracked by Agent Miller (Dolce), a young hothead with something to prove. At the same time, Marcus is haunted by the image of a mysterious little girl, Indigo Sky (N. Segale). Though her name is never spoken aloud in the film, her presence becomes one of the story’s most unsettling forces, leaving Marcus unsure whether she is real, a planted memory, or a victim from his forgotten past.

The film also features a cameo by Geoffrey Owens as Javier Alvarez, Marcus’s father, along with Matt Grossman as Agent Reynor and Gracie LeClere as Agent Sophie.

With a tense visual style, unsettling performances, and a story built around fractured perception, Subversion explores what happens when the greatest threat is not the enemy in front of you, but the programming inside you.
